CH Monaco has recently selected MIPS to provide its GLIMS laboratory information management system together with the CyberLab results reporting solution to help manage the consolidation of laboratories. In the Alsace region, we have had a number of recent successes with the Colmar hospital group and CH Selestat choosing GLIMS and CyberLab. We have also been selected by the Albiom project to support a national pilot determining interfacing standards between LIS and EPR.

The Pathology Partnership appoints Capita and CliniSys to deliver WinPath

The Pathology Partnership has awarded Capita Healthcare Decisions a seven year, £9.7m contract to provide laboratory information systems, and the platform to host it, to the hospitals in its shared service arrangement. Capita will work with partner CliniSys to deliver the solution. Combining the pathology laboratories of Cambridge, Ipswich, Hinchingbrooke Colchester, and West Suffolk hospitals, together with East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, the Pathology Partnership was formed in the wake of the Carter review1 which recommended that performance improvement in pathology would be driven by the consolidation of multiple acute trust pathology departments into single, managed networks.

North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Public Health England (Bristol) and Weston Area Health NHS Trust have appointed CliniSys and Capita Healthcare Decisions to deliver an integrated laboratory information system for all areas of pathology across the region. The Capita and CliniSys solution was selected following a competitive tender and evaluation process involving all four organisations.
