CliniSys is hosting an invitation only meeting at the Technology and Innovation Centre in Glasgow on the 14th May 2019. This unique event is designed specifically for Scottish delegates to help them explore how a modern LIMS and associated IT solutions can support and enable both service transformation and an enhanced value proposition for Laboratory Medicine.
We will be providing examples as to how innovation can help in key areas such as demand management, decision support and improving outcomes, and illustrate our successful track record in the delivery of managed IT solutions for regional and multi-site laboratory networks. With the UK laboratory services landscape undergoing service transformation and reconfiguration on a scale never seen before, this conference will provide an opportunity to see how CliniSys is leading the way in the successful delivery of scalable IT solution and services.
The full agenda is available upon request but some of the highlights are detailed below.
- "Laboratory networks in Scotland – IT challenges and opportunities" - Dr Ian Godber, Clinical Lead for the Scottish Clinical Biochemistry Managed Diagnostic Network, will explore the principles of effective diagnosis and the opportunity to add value via service transformation. Within the context of the NHS Scotland Shared Services Laboratory Service Programme, he will consider how advances in areas such as precision and evidence-based medicine will translate into enhanced requirements for decision support, outcome appraisal and analysis.
- “Deploying WinPath Enterprise in Scotland” - Douglas Bryson, Deputy Laboratory Systems Manager, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, will summarise the WinPath Enterprise solution as deployed across two hospital sites and in all disciplines in NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Douglas will also provide insights into how they approached the deployment and highlight some of the benefits they are experiencing after many years live on the system.
